The types of data we process may include:

– Inventory Data (e.g., names, addresses)
– Contact Data (e.g., email addresses, phone numbers)
– Content Data (e.g., text entries, images, videos)
– Usage Data (e.g., visited pages, timestamps, interests in content)
– Meta- and Communication Data (e.g., type of device, IP addresses)

Legal Basis

The legal bases for the processing of your data are:

– Consent: Article 6(1)(a) and Article 7 GDPR (for obtaining consent)
– Contractual Obligations: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (for fulfilling our services, executing a contract, or responding to inquiries)
– Legal Obligations: Article 6(1)(c) GDPR (for compliance with legal requirements)
– Legitimate Interests: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (especially for statistical data and online identifiers)
– Vital Interests: Article 6(1)(d) GDPR (for processing in case of life-threatening situations)

Duration of Data Storage

Data will be deleted or restricted in accordance with Articles 17 and 18 of the GDPR.

Stored data will be deleted once it is no longer necessary for its intended purpose and in compliance with statutory retention obligations. If data cannot be deleted, its processing will be restricted. This may occur, for example, if data must be retained for tax purposes.

If we process data based on a legitimate interest, we will retain it as long as your interest in deletion or anonymization does not outweigh the processing.

Transfer to Third Countries

If data is transferred to a third country outside the EU, it will be done based on the contractual provisions required by law. These provisions ensure an adequate level of data protection and can be made available to you upon request. Data processing will only take place if the special requirements of Articles 44 ff. of the GDPR are met.

Processing Purposes by the Data Controller and Third Parties

We process personal data only for the purposes and to the extent necessary to fulfill the tasks for which you provided them to us. These purposes include:

– Operating and improving the online services and content
– Communication with users and responding to inquiries
– Protection against misuse
– Reach measurement and marketing to enhance the user experience

We share data with third parties only if necessary for the execution of a contract, fulfillment of legal obligations, or safeguarding of legitimate interests, or if you have expressly consented to it.

If we commission processors to process data, this will be done based on a data processing agreement in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR.

Data Security

We have implemented extensive technical and organizational measures in accordance with Article 32 of the GDPR to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, distribution, as well as loss, destruction, and misuse.

We protect your data during transmission using encryption methods (e.g., SSL, HTTPS) to prevent unauthorized access.

Cookies

Like most websites, we use so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small text files that are stored on users’ devices by websites. A cookie can store various information, such as details about a user or their device. Temporary cookies (also called “session cookies” or “transient cookies”) are deleted once the user closes the website or browser. These cookies may, for example, store the contents of a shopping cart.

We also use “permanent” or “persistent” cookies, which remain stored for a period of time even after closing the website or browser. These cookies store, for instance, login status, so users can continue using the website later without needing to log in again. These cookies may also be used to store user preferences for marketing purposes or reach measurement. Both types are called “first-party cookies.” A “third-party cookie” is one stored by a provider other than the controller of the online offering.

We inform you that we may use both temporary and persistent cookies.

You can visit our website without using cookies. Please note, however, that certain functions of our online services may not work without cookies. You can use your browser’s help function to learn how to disable cookies in your browser.

Contacting Us

If you contact us (e.g., via email, contact form, or phone), the information provided will be stored to process your inquiry and for follow-up questions according to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. The data will be deleted once no longer necessary. We review necessity every two years. Statutory retention obligations apply. Your personal data will not be shared without your consent.

Social Media

To communicate with customers, prospects, and users, we maintain online presences on social networks, such as Facebook. The terms of use and data processing guidelines of the respective providers apply there.

We process the data of users who communicate with us on these platforms unless otherwise stated in this privacy policy. This includes messages sent by users or posts made by users on our social media pages.

Third-Party Services and Content

We use third-party content and services based on our legitimate interest according to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, to integrate their content and services into our online offerings.

When you access a page containing third-party content, a connection to their server is established. As a result, the third party will necessarily learn your IP address. Additionally, the third party may use cookies to store technical information about the browser, operating system, referral URL, time of visit, and other usage data. Third parties may also use pixel tags (invisible graphics) to collect data for marketing or statistical purposes, such as tracking visitor traffic on this website. This information may be combined with data collected elsewhere.
